Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. O'Dell later became a morning news anchor at WCBD TV and was a crime reporter. O'Dell's reports in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance when it comes to DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to examine. This led to the state government imposing more stringent guidelines in these cases. Ms. O'Dell won her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. Her work in Charleston was the reason she joined as a co-anchor, reporter as well as NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before she joined Access Hollywood she was a co-anchor on weekdays as well as the NBC weekend co-anchor. O'Dell, in addition to anchoring the main show for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She has covered such events like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of pre-show arrivals for The Emmys and the Golden Globes.
